Leadership.

"If your actions inspire others ti dream more, learn more, do more, and become more, you are leader."
                                -John Quincy Adams

I'm not going to lie, I didn't put much thought into what today's class was going to be about.  I figured it would just be one of those typical "work together problem solving, figure out who the leaders is" games.  Buuuutttt, I actually really enjoyed todays lesson. I usually hate the "evaluate yourself" questionnaires, but  this is one that I can apply in real life.  I recently got promoted to be the back office manager position at work and this will help be to know what my strengths and weaknesses are.  One thing I didn't about class was that we kept categorizing all managers to be very task oriented, and added a negative connotation to a manager position, and all the praise to leaders.  I feel that a good manager has the ability to be a good leader and manager. That they are able to set the pace and example, approach problems in a bureaucratic, unbiased fashion, and yet still be able to delegate responsibilities and ensure tasks are completed.

1. Share what you had expected to learn about the topic before the class.
2. What you actually learned from the unit.
3. How you will utilize the information learned in your nursing practice.
4. You personal feelings about the material covered.
When finished with your entry, place one sentence in this assignment stating your Reflective Journal/Blog entry has been made.
